David Stenberg,

LPC, MHSP

David Stenberg is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Mental Health Service Provider designation and a National Certified Counselor. He completed his undergraduate work at Rhodes College and received his Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Memphis. He also holds a Master of Divinity degree from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary in the Boston area.

David served for several years as an assistant pastor in an urban setting where he had the opportunity to provide care for people with diverse backgrounds.  Prior to joining the CPC staff, he was a therapist at The Oaks at La Paloma, a dual-diagnosis residential treatment program for adults struggling with mental illness and addiction.

At CPC, David works with adults, providing treatment for depression, anxiety, emotional dysregulation, life transitions, the effects of abuse and trauma, substance and process addictions, and spiritual formation.  Depending on the needs of the client, David utilizes various treatment approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and faith-based counseling. 

Accepts a limited number of insurance plans.
