The mission of CPC is to provide hope and direction to those experiencing life difficulties in a manner that reflects God’s love and grace.
Christian Psychological Center (CPC) was founded in 1977 as a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization to provide psychological care in Memphis and to the greater mid-south community. Our staff includes Clinical and Counseling Psychologists (Ph.D. and Psy.D.), Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT), and a Certified Educational Planner (CEP).
The Center offers services in 4 main areas:
- Clinical Services: Including individual, conjoint, family and group therapy, testing, psychoeducational assessment, and educational planning.
- Education and Prevention Programs: Including trauma recovery, grief support, divorce recovery, sexual addiction recovery, premarital counseling, and marriage enrichment workshops.
- Training and Consultation: Primarily for church and parachurch ministries, and schools and educators in staff support, skill building, and teamwork.
- Collaboration: Through partnering with other agencies to provide broader community-based initiatives that enable a greater impact than individual agencies might have by their own efforts.
Group therapy services are offered alongside or separately from individual counseling. Groups, led by trained therapists, meet weekly or monthly and some may be ongoing.
CPC staff are actively involved in providing training and consultation for ministry leaders, educators, and businesses. Workshops, training, and consultation focus on skill-building, staff care, and teamwork.
CPC staff are available to lead workshops or give presentations on relevant topics for churches, schools, and businesses.
